What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager Bangor Claires position at Claire's?
As a Retail Store Manager, you will ensure that the store is clean and tidy, that customers get the best customer service possible and that employees are working together to ensure it runs smoothly as a team.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the smooth running of the retail store
- Manage employee policies and procedures
- Train new employees on how to greet customers and perform basic customer service tasks
- Check customers out when they come into the store
- Close the store when necessary to maintain smooth closing procedures
- Manage inventory control in your area of responsibility
- Oversee daily cashier tasks such as processing payments and receipts
- Add or remove days from the retail store schedule as needed to meet departmental deadlines
- Maintain the visual appearance of the retail store by cleaning, dusting, organizing, changing light bulbs, etc.
- Report on any problems or issues that may arise from customers or employees towards the Store Manager such as theft, vandalism, etc.
- Keep track of inventory in your area of responsibility; report any shortages or inventory issues to the Store Manager immediately
- Practice safe shopping habits at all times! Avoid using credit cards at cash registers, don’t carry money around while working, etc. to ensure you are practicing good financial habits!
