Clarivate is seeking to hire on an experienced Senior Director, Associate General Counsel to join our highly respected global Legal, Risk and Compliance Group (“LRC Group”), you will serve as a trusted advisor along with team members located in the US, UK, EMEA and across APAC. In this role you will be part of the LRC Group leadership team and responsible for supporting wide-ranging legal, contractual and regulatory issues including business-critical initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a high performing global team of attorneys, paralegals and contract professionals.

- Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience
- Prior in-house legal experience working in a global organization is essential
- Experience in people management and resolution of day-to-day corporate and commercial issues and mitigation of related legal risks
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements with customers, vendors, partners, agents, distributors, resellers and other third parties
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Expertise with M&A, content licensing and public contracting (e.g., US Federal and State Government and other Government contracting experience outside the US)
- Experience working in the academia and government sector
- Global experience and/or working experience at a multi-national corporation preferred
- Language proficiency other than English
- Ability to translate complex global legal issues and ambiguity into clear and simple guidance for business stakeholders
- Ability to operate without supervision while efficiently delivering practical business-oriented results
- Attention to detail is critical; professionalism and customer-centricity are a must
- Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and can-do attitude
- Understanding of the quarterly business model and ability to work with a sense of urgency while prioritizing competing interests and mitigating risk

- Lead, develop and coach a global team of high performing attorneys, paralegals and contract professionals and serve as a point of escalation for business stakeholders.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of complex data licensing, software, professional services, SaaS, and other commercial agreements with customers, vendors, partners, content providers, agents, distributors, resellers and other third parties.
- Be an active and trusted legal leader and partner within the LRC Group.
- Support key functional teams and collaborate with colleagues globally as an aligned legal partner with day-to-day legal advice and support.
- Assist with strategic initiatives including process improvements, training, optimizing procedures, and contracting template restructuring and integration.
- Partner closely with LRC Group leaders, including legal ops and other members of the legal team, as relevant to set and achieve departmental objectives and efficiencies while managing resources.
- Research and respond to general legal inquiries from the business functions/segments that relate to matters like local regulatory issues, partnerships, content, sourcing, software licensing, litigation, privacy, intellectual property, disputes, and other corporate and compliance matters.
- This is a full-time, remote working position
