General Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Cutting, trimming and boning meat to meet customer requests and department needs
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist at counter when needed
- Provide consistency with cuts and displays
- Operate meat saws, grinders and other meat processing equipment in a safe manner
- Maintain equipment through regular cleaning and routine repairs, including sharpening of knives and saws
- Handle deliveries and maintain organization in coolers
- Working knowledge and adherence to safety standards along with the practice of food safety principles.
- Maintain department cleanliness and follow food certification regulations.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates functional/technical department operations expertise
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role a plus
- Prior safe meat cutting equipment handling skills a plus.
- Exposure to temperatures:<32 degrees (freezing), 32-40 degrees (refrigerators), and ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Food handler’s certification preferable.
- Ability to lift 50lbs safely.
- Minimum age of 18.
