Clayton Services is searching for an HR Manager to join a start-up company with rapid growth plans in Northwest Houston. The HR Manager will be responsible for establishing and overseeing HR policies and procedures, leading hiring and compensation activities, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Job Type: Direct-Hire
Pay Rate: $120,000/annually plus discretionary bonus.

HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Establishing a robust Human Resources department and development of comprehensive HR policies and procedures for employees and managers.
- Providing insightful recommendations to the management team regarding opportunities for policy, procedure, and process improvement.
- Administering and conducting training sessions to introduce new policies and procedures to employees.
- Leading or participating in activities related to hiring and compensation, including developing job descriptions, refining candidate selection processes, conducting background checks, and providing counsel to management on compensation matters.
- Designing and implementing training programs for new employee orientation, management education, and supervisor skills development, utilizing various training settings.
- Managing payroll and employee benefits, assisting with employment-related insurance matters, and implementing surveys for employee satisfaction and performance management.
- Overseeing compliance with employment-related legal issues, including federal and Texas state employment policy.
- Working with immigration counsel as needed for visa applications.
HR Manager Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Self-motivated and effective time management skills.
- Proficient with MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge and application of Federal and Texas State employment laws, regulations, and legislation.
HR Manager Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- 5 years of HR experience.
- Experience with hiring a high volume of manufacturing or warehouse employees is a plus.
- Experience with ADP is a plus.
