Overview
Safety-Kleen is seeking a Refinery Operator to join our team in East Chicago, IN. This position will focus on Waste Water Treatment as a priority task at the facility. This is a Union position starting at $22.12. The employee will need to be flexible to work all shifts, days, swings, and graveyards as needed.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Offloading, processing, testing and discharging waste water in a chemical batch process;
- Offloading vacuum trucks and tankers;
- Adding chemicals to tanks to chemically treat waste water;
- Testing waste water to ensure within acceptable criteria;
- Discharge water to municipal sewer system;
- Process residual solids with heavy equipment and cement.
Qualifications
What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 1 years environmental or chemical educational background or industry related experience;
- Waste water treatment experience preferred;
- Basic chemical understanding is preferred;
- Forklift experience.
