The Team:
As Sr Communications Manager, you’ll be a key member of our growing Communications team, shaping our corporate message, executing internal and external communications strategy, and building our presence across earned and owned channels. The team is composed of a small group of professionals who work collaboratively and creatively to tell unique stories about Clear Street’s seat at the intersection of finance and technology. You’ll have the opportunity to work with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, press, and external parties to craft this narrative and develop the Clear Street voice through time. Given this is a senior level position, you'll also have the opportunity and responsibility to mentor and develop others within the marketing/communications team through time.
You will:
- Work on a small but mighty communications team to build the Clear Street brand and tell our story to new audiences across finance and technology
- Serve as the dedicated communications liaison for speciality areas within Clear Street, such as securities finance, engineering, sales, etc.
- Create, develop and execute a communications strategy utilizing media relations, thought leadership, awards and rankings, conferences and events, social media, and paid media channels, as appropriate
- Partner with internal senior stakeholders to shape messaging as a part of the overarching Clear Street corporate narrative
- Develop materials and collateral to support external communications for your specialty areas, including fact sheets, one-pagers, and email templates
- Aid in internal communications as appropriate, including company-wide town halls, internal educational events, employee news, and cross-team product and development updates
- Provide mentorship to other team members when appropriate; strong comms/marketing fundamentals are a must
Requirements:
- You have at least 6 years of experience in public relations, preferably in a high-growth and/or B2B environment
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
- Able to distill complex ideas into digestible, easy-to-follow narratives
- Strong planning and prioritization skills
- Experience working with and advising senior management on communications programs
- An understanding of the financial services industry and experience working with brokerages, banks, and other financial institutions is a huge plus
- An interest in technology
