We are a diverse group of intellectually curious people, solving hard problems, and living by our core values while bonded by the shared vision to secure our nation - join us!\u202f The Opportunity: The Senior Desktop Support Specialist will oversee and support the Desktop Application Support Team, ensuring efficient problem resolution and high-quality customer service for desktop applications within the NETCOM environment. This role involves technical assistance, hardware and software troubleshooting, configuration, and installation, working closely with the Fort Huachuca Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to reimage NIPRNet computers per Army standards. The specialist will also ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and develop procedures to address complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the Desktop Application Support Team, providing necessary customer service support for problem resolution involving current and future desktop applications in the NETCOM environment.
Contribute to the knowledge base by providing quality check inputs for each application upon issue resolution.
Offer desktop support, including technical assistance, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices within a network environment.
Collaborate with the Fort Huachuca Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to reimage non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet) computers in line with approved Army baselines.
Ensure the installation of approved and updated Army software, firmware, and drivers in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) standards.
Develop or modify procedures to solve complex problems, taking into account computer equipment capacity, operating time, and desired outcomes. Required Qualifications:
High School diploma and 10 years of relevant work experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or Higher.
IAT Level II Certification.
Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Successful completion of a background investigation, including criminal history and reference checks, as a contingency for employment at NetCentrics.
