Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day administration of policies and programs covering the following areas: recruiting, salaried compensation and benefits, employee relations and onboarding. Assists in developing policies and procedures and compliance related activities
- Acts as a resource for employees in the areas of payroll, benefits administration and employee relations issues.
- Coordinates employee benefits with Corporate Benefits Department and Third Party Administrators including health care, life insurance benefits, pension and disabilities.
- Assists Human Resource Manager(s) with the termination process including data analysis.
- Conducts exit interviews and serves as counsel for retirement and benefit options.
- Provides input to the formulation of Human Resource policy changes and communicates company policies, practices, and procedures to all employees, as needed.
- Recruits hourly employees consistent with company standards and compliance obligations including: posting job descriptions, screening applications, facilitating and participating in panel interviews, preparing compensation offers and coordinating relocation.
- Updates application system as necessary.
- Provides details of Equal Employment Opportunities, company data and activities.
- Ensures compliance and provides documentation for regulations on Equal Employment Opportunities, Affirmative Action, Family Medical Leave Act, HIPPA, American Disability Act and Sarbanes Oxley.
- Maintains employee personnel files.
- Assists in hourly and salaried new hire orientations and provides training and guidance to hiring managers and employees on policies, process, and regulatory issues.
- Assists with facilitating overall company orientation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 3 years professional Human Resources experience in a generalist role required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to prepare written materials and correspondence.
- Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and working knowledge of Human Resource Information System and payroll system.
- Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Must be willing to relocate for promotional opportunities.
- Primarily Office Environment.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment in the manufacturing environment.
