We are seeking an Account Manager II aka Insurance Account Manager II who will be responsible for ensuring that client needs are met while working collaboratively with our Commercial Insurance (CI) Sales Executives to achieve the highest level of client service. Account Managers are responsible for maintaining and growing our book of business in our International CI Department at Clements Worldwide. This position is being offered as Fully Remote or Hybrid depending on your location and approval by Human Resources (HR).

Salary Range:  $65K - $70K, Full-time (37.5 hours weekly) - Salary

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • 3 years experience in a Commercial Insurance (CI) Account Management role
  • have an active license in Property and Casualty (P&C) in at least one state
  • willingness to get a Life and Health (L&H) license within 90 days of hire if not already obtained
  • if approved for fully remote work, ability to be in the DC office once a quarter
  • if approved for hybrid work, ability to be in the DC office two days each week
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (specifically Excel and Outlook)
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • serve as a partner, client contact and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner to improve the client experience
  • resolve billing issues, make policy changes, issue certificates of insurance while using multiple systems, agency standards and workflows
  • manage the renewal process to include submissions of policy applications, obtaining quotations, checking policies for accuracy, agency bill invoicing, review of renewal terms and conditions
  • ensure maximum retention of assigned accounts and keep accurate and detailed records of lost accounts
  • understand and adapt to the uniquely combined carrier and agency mentality of our business model
  • maintain up to date account status of activities, booked, and to-be booked policies to provide management on a weekly basis
  • respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings while demonstrating the highest level of client service and professionalism
  • partner with Commercial Insurance (CI) Sales Executives, Producers and Business Developers to provide organizational and technical support
  • complete monthly, quarterly, or annual audits in a timely fashion per the terms set forth by underwriting (Policy specific)
  • visually participate in client meetings and attend to client needs on camera, depending on the client and Insurance Producer these meetings are mainly for renewal meetings, general touchpoints, normally producer lead and provide support as an Account Manager
  • manage all endorsement processing and claims facilitation as needed, ie. submit health insurance census changes to carrier, add and remove auto policies, determining coverage gaps through contract reviews, and any other type of account managing in the Commercial Insurance department
  • provide high-level service to clients using a consultative approach and relationship building such as client visits, timely inquiry responses, utilization of product knowledge, and participation in client meetings
  • utilize and maintain the agency management systems per the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to provide an excellent client experience and prevent Error and Omission (E&O) incidents
  • travel both domestically and internationally when needed
  • maintain your Property & Casualty (P&C) and if needed Life and Health (L&H) in at least one state with the wiliness to be licensed in other states as needed for compliance purposes (paid by Clements Worldwide)
  • follow established protocols and policies established by your department, Human Resources or any department in which guidelines must be met
  • other responsibilities and duties may be assigned depending on department need
