Client First Technologies is looking for a VDI Administrator who specializes in supporting virtual desktop environments and infrastructure deployments. The VDI Administrator is responsible for ensuring the student training infrastructure is functional and virtual desktops are properly configured.
Description
As a VDI Administrator on our team, you will administer and deploy VMWare Sphere 6, 6.5, 6.7 and Horizon view 6 or 7. You will also design and document new infrastructure deployment to assist in managing systems in support of our federal government customer.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage VMware Horizon View VDI environments
- Monitor VDI infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy virtual desktops, manage pools, and provide end-user support
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability
- Develop and implement VDI best practices and security protocols
- Create and maintain documentation for VDI configurations, policies, and procedures
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing VDI-related inquiries and issues promptly
- Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to accommodate growing business needs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to VDI and virtualization
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Security certification, or other equivalent IAT Level II certification
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in VMware VDI administration
- Proficiency in VMware Horizon View and related VDI technologies
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices
- Experience with Windows operating systems and Active Directory
- Knowledge of storage solutions, SAN/NAS technologies, and networking
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- VMware VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification is a plus
Required Clearances
- Must possess an active Secret clearance or higher
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required
