Together the Sales Manager, Operations Manager and Group Operations Managers/Supervisors are responsible to drive the business to attain our vision of “Merging Buildings with Technology to improve lives and create value.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide daily leadership to the sales team to meet branch sales goals. Develop the business as a top employer as measured by involuntary turnover Create value for our customers as measured by customer satisfaction metrics. Grow the business as a top supplier, as measured by growth in market share as reported by our product values. With Operations, deliver profitable results each year, per plan. Deliver consistent controlled growth that does not outpace our ability to deliver quality.

Together the Sales Manager, Operations Manager and Group Operations Managers/Supervisors are responsible to drive the business to attain our vision of “Merging Buildings with Technology to improve lives and create value.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides direct supervision technically and developmentally for assigned employees. This includes HR functions, sales, financial and technical training and mentoring, and day to day support to achieve booking objectives year over year.
- Manage sales activities and the pipeline to meet or exceed booking plan at target gross margins.
- Develop individual team members to achieve his/her maximum productivity.
- Encourage teamwork between construction & service salespeople, as well as operations personnel, to increase close ratios and achieve growth.
- Provides input to sales regarding the technical and business considerations for construction or direct owner projects. This input could be associated with areas such as estimating, timing, special resource needs, or other aspects unique to specific projects.
- Coordinates with other Sales, GOSs, GOMs and Service Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels for both overall headcount as well as anticipated skill sets.
- Ensures projects are booked correctly and that all necessary forms are completed for both internal and external purposes.
- Recommends technical solutions to sales and operations. Provides training and development on the technical aspects of the business, including templates, pricing strategies, ongoing support & coaching.
- Ensures all migration opportunities are identified with a sales strategy in place for each.
- With Operations, identifies change order opportunities and coordinates with sales to document, pursue, and book them – per change order guidelines.
- Communicate with external organizations as required, such as consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors, to ensure proper support is being provided.
- Works with direct reports to assist them in their development of personal goals. Reviews these goals with direct reports throughout the year and provides annual reviews as well as administration of salaries for these direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a 4-year college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, and/or other technical experience such as military or on-the-job training programs, as determined by local management.
- A thorough understanding of HVAC operations within a facility is beneficial.
- Strong business and financial awareness and the ability to apply these to a portfolio of projects to maximize cash flow, profits, and customer and employee satisfaction.
- Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.
- Ability to work with assigned employees to motivate and develop them and ensure their success.
- An undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other related studies.
- A deep understanding of Climatec’ s leadership culture and values.
- Be able to lift and carry files, personal computers, material, etc.
- Be able to spend significant time sitting.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy.
