The Assistant Director supports and manages the operations of the Coronary Care Unit and Medical Intensive Care Unit, on a 24-hour basis.
- Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of department responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital, department, and safe policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for providing high-quality patient care, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, and for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Ensures the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- The Assistant Director will help support adherence to standards of quality control, financial budgeting.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years hospital experience. CCU/MICU management experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS: ACLS/BCLS required.
INTERRELATIONSHIPS: Department heads, staff, hospital personnel and visitors.
PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: A physical condition is required that permits reaching and mobility around the entire institution. Intact vision and speech are required as well as hearing sufficient to perform essential job responsibilities. In addition, must be able to function under rapidly changing and stressful conditions
