Evening Shift Medical Laboratory Technologist

An established acute care hospital located in the heart of Boston is currently searching for an experienced Evening Shift Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their award-winning organization.

Known as a regional leading acute care hospital, this facility is home to 150 beds and provides a variety of award-winning 24-hour emergency care, maternity and pediatric services, behavioral health, specialty care, surgical services, and primary care. This nationally recognized system is proud to be fully accredited by the Joint Commission and has recent received an A from the Lown Institute in regards to quality patient outcomes.

Under limited supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform and report laboratory testing in a manner that promotes the efficiency and quality patient care provided through the laboratory. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will work as a Generalist at the hospital campus laboratory, perform testing on chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will also perform quality control activities, receive and process specimens, assist the manager in daily operations, and provide on-call coverage as needed. This is a full-time evening shift position with rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Sciences, or related field
• MT or MLT certification through American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital laboratory
