A charming Cancer Center in stunning Eastern Tennessee is looking for an Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner NP to join their team of Oncology Advanced Practice Providers. The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will practice collaboratively with fellow Oncology NP’s and supervising physicians to provide care for hematology oncology patients.
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will triage phone calls from patients, physicians, and hospitals, and perform evaluations for hematology oncology patients. Additionally, the Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will perform responsibilities including but not limited to performing patient history, examination, chemotherapy treatment plan, and patient follow ups.
The Inpatient Oncology NP will join an esteemed Oncology Group and healthcare organization. This Oncology Group has a strong Nurse Practitioner group and is expanding their Oncology NP team. Oncology patients required anything from complex chemotherapy management to primary care services.
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work on new patient consults in the acute care hospital setting, and round on inpatient oncology patients. The Inpatient Oncology NP will have previous Nurse Practitioner experience in inpatient or outpatient Oncology experience or strong Oncology Nursing experience prior to becoming a NP.
