Laboratory Services Director

The ideal Hospital Laboratory Services Director will possess a Bachelor's degree in health sciences, a Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist designation from ASCP or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of experience in a high-complexity laboratory, with a preference for hospital-based expertise. Leadership experience in a hospital laboratory setting is a crucial requirement, coupled with a genuine passion for rural health.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA 88, HIPAA, and Washington Medical Test Site licensure requirements. Key responsibilities also include supervision, planning, organization, direction, and coordination of laboratory services. As the Laboratory Director, they will oversee day-to-day operations, striving for efficiency, optimal resource utilization, cost-effectiveness, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safe patient care.

To thrive in this role, the candidate should possess or be able to obtain and maintain AHA BLS certification and Washington Department of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
