An established acute care hospital located in central Connecticut is now searching for an experienced Manager Medical Laboratory Services to join their award-winning healthcare organization.
This community-based acute care hospital is home to over 150 inpatient beds and provides a wide variety of inpatient, outpatient, primary care, and skilled nursing services. This network services more than 20 locations and supports a growing team of 100 experienced providers throughout the central Connecticut regions. The organization combines a dedicated team of healthcare providers that strive to enhance the overall health of all patients and community residents.
Reporting to the Administrative Laboratory Director, the Manager will lead all administrative and technical operations of the Medical Laboratory department. The Manager is responsible for monitoring staff performance, leading professional development training, ensures the department is regulatory compliant, and assists the Administrative Director with departmental finances and budget. The Manager will lead a team of experienced Medical Technologists and Clinical Laboratory Scientists.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or medical laboratory sciences
- Current MT/MLT(ASCP) certification required
- Prior leadership in a hospital laboratory setting
