Reporting to the Behavioral Health Service Line Administrator, the Nurse Manager of Psychiatric Health Unit will manage the 24-hour operation of Adult Psych Unit in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Nurse Manager of Mental Health will assure the provision of quality patient care through compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, and efficient management of clinical and financial resources.
The Nurse Manager of Mental Health Services will apply management and clinical expertise, education, research, and consultation to optimize operational outcomes. The Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health Unit will assume accountability for implementation of Baldrige quality process initiatives. The ideal candidate should have Bachelors degree with at least 3 years boosting employee morale while leading and implementing change in the Psychiatric Services.
The Manager of Adult Psych Unit will have strong working knowledge of Title 22, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and related accreditation standards. The Behavioral Health Nurse Manager will demonstrate proactive attitude and creativity in problem solving with strong leadership and team-building skills and the ability to lead and motivate staff. Demonstrates dedication to quality service. Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
