The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic techniques and examinations. The Radiologic Technologist will regularly perform all special procedures according to established procedures outlined in the department manual. Adjusts controls according to knowledge of standard settings to consistently produce diagnostic quality records.
The Radiologic Technologist will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of equipment capability; consistently produces high quality results. Observes patient and machine during special procedures and reports any unusual occurrences; always informs appropriate personnel of any changes in patient condition. Routinely reviews all films for radiologist and attending physician approval.
The Radiologic Technologist will demonstrate the ability to solve job related problems, such as alternate patient positioning, different views and the realization of equipment and patient limitations. Tests are always performed in accordance with the department procedure manual. Routinely assists in general radiographic procedures when requested by radiologists or department manager; assists physician in administering radiopaque media. Demonstrates proficiency in use of portable X-Ray equipment in Surgery, Emergency Room, Nursery and at bedside.
