As an App Partnerships Manager, you can help third-party developers create solutions that expand our App Ecosystem by turning customer problems into business opportunities and creating a thriving ecosystem of technology. We already have 200 integrations, but we're only just getting started.
We are currently seeking an App Partnerships Manager to be the first business point of contact for third-party app partners and help to create a first-class experience for them. You’ll be responsible for the success and growth of our existing app partners as well as driving successful launches for new apps. From the partners' intake experience to coaching app partners on how to build great integrations with Clio, you will constantly seek out context and work to set our third-party app partners up to deliver legal technology to our customers successfully.
A day in the life might look like this:
- Responding to inbound inquiries from app partners: Explain the program, ideate on the value proposition for them, and frame the opportunity and required investments. Help define our engagement model for how we collectively engage with app partners at Clio.
- Building relationships with app partners: Being a primary point of contact for app partners for the duration of the app build and beyond, as well as acting as a liaison between the app partners and the Clio team to ensure they have what they need.
- Helping app partners succeed: Supporting third-party partners in reaching customers, tracking how their app is doing, being a trusted advisor in helping them navigate the build and launch of their app and managing co-marketing opportunities and the Clio Certified App Program.
- Coaching app partners to build high-quality apps: Working closely with app partners to help them identify unmet needs within our app ecosystem and product offering as well as build and promote great integrations with Clio to ultimately grow their business.
- Guiding apps through our vetting process: Setting expectations with regard to our approval process and supporting app partners through it.
- Supporting apps through their launch in the Clio ecosystem: Collecting details to build out their App Directory listing and working with the Marketing team on other launch support.
- Maintaining the App Directory: Own and contribute to the optimization and success of Clio’s App Directory, i.e. listing layout, categories, SEO, etc., as well as building and maintaining app listings, auditing app listings and contacting app developers to maintain high quality of listings in the directory.
- Developing new partner relationships: Driving outbound to Identify and establish relationships with potential app partners where there may be a fit to build an app in the Clio ecosystem and showcasing that they can build financially viable businesses on Clio.
- Other special projects: Project management of the Launch//Code contest, developing our approach for App Ecosystem and our partners at the Clio Cloud Conference, and attending legal tech tradeshows.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 1 years of experience in account management, business development, sales or partnership roles.
- An affinity for building relationships and a strong, proactive focus on our partners.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to engage, support and even challenge partners effectively.
- Strong team player mindset, but able to work under own initiative and manage time effectively.
- Great project management skills, and the ability to switch contexts rapidly.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Serious bonus points if you have:
- A philosophy on what makes a thriving and profitable ecosystem for our third-party app partners.
- Product management or consulting experience.
- A blend of business and technical acumen.
- Experience with coaching others on strategies to grow and scale their business.
