About the department
Cloudflare is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team. To succeed in this role, you will need
excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal team members in
addition to handling external service providers. You will own all aspects of Cloudflare’s payroll processes
for our North American employees. The Payroll Analyst will report to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Process recurring payroll for hourly and salaried employees in the U.S. and Canada.
- Process off-cycle payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees (e.g., commissions, RSU releases,
option exercises, relocation payments, terminations). - Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate,
compliant, and timely. - Ensure accurate system data is being maintained between the HRIS system (Workday) and the
payroll system (ADP WorkforceNow). - Assist with new hire payroll orientation.
- Answer employee queries in a timely manner through our ZenDesk ticket system.
- Assist with new state registrations and payroll set up.
- Provide supplementary reports to support the finance function in the reconciliation of payroll
related accounts. - Provide overall support for any payroll related projects.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and/or equivalent combination of
education - 2-4 years of multi state payroll experience
- Highly analytical with a strong working knowledge of payroll and tax processes with multiple withholdings, benefits (health and welfare and retirement), garnishments, labor compliance, accounting principles related to payroll.
- Demonstrated expertise supporting best practice payroll processes, systems, policies, and key internal controls
- Expertise with ADP WorkforceNow and Workday a plus.
