What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Control Technician IV position at Clover Leaf?
Clover Leaf Solutions, Inc. is looking for an experienced Radiation Control Technician to join our growing team in Los Alamos, NM. The Radiation Control Technician will be a full-time on-site, and be responsible for high-hazard radiological jobs as well as serve as the primary point of contact for planning, coordination of resources, and ensuring resolution of conflicting demands in highly dynamic and challenging conditions that require the ability as a strong tactical decision maker.
What You Will Do:
Ensures that radiological controls are correctly applied for radiological work, including high-hazard radiological work, by serving as authorized subject matter expert for the development of radiological work control packages (RWCPs).
Provide coordination of work area resources as needed to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Fulfill customer radiation protection requests while ensuring established RP-1 priorities are followed.
Work effectively with customers and supervision to resolve problems including elevation of issues beyond the ability of the RCT 4 to resolve.
Anticipate problems and handle unforeseen issues. May include technical supervision responsibilities, but certainly includes responsibility for providing technical leadership and review.
Responsibility for coordination and participation in developing the final product working with the requestor.
Qualification:
Requires a high school diploma and 4-6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Apply extensive knowledge and skills to complete specialized tasks and have full knowledge of other related disciplines.
Comprehensive understanding of general and technical aspects of the job.
Develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity, creativity, and independence.
Desired Qualification:
Additional training, certification, and/or education may be expected, including associate degrees and graduation from technical institutions.
