Description

Are you adept at troubleshooting under pressure? Do you thrive in high-stakes environments, finding satisfaction in untangling complex customer issues within tight deadlines?

CLX Engineering is seeking an experienced Integration/Controls Engineer proficient in PLC programming. As an Integration Engineer II, you'll operate with autonomy, boasting either TUV certification or familiarity with its requirements, and exhibit resourcefulness in ensuring safety protocols remain current and adhered to. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in controls and automation, with expertise in PLCs, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley systems. Those with experience in Allen Bradley or Siemens Safety PLCs will be highly regarded. Analytical, detail-oriented, and resourceful individuals who can deliver quality work within tight deadlines are sought after. Initiative takers who excel in client interactions are particularly desirable.

The role entails designing, engineering programming, and commissioning various industrial projects, utilizing both established legacy equipment and cutting-edge technology. Design proficiency involves drafting software, knowledge of applicable codes and standards, efficient design practices, and familiarity with current devices. Programming tasks predominantly employ ladder logic across multiple PLCs. Commissioning responsibilities include overseeing installation and troubleshooting to ensure project functionality and customer satisfaction. Immediate placement requires residence and work in Central Florida, with an expectation of frequent travel, sometimes exceeding 80%. Working night shifts are common at theme parks and airports. International assignments, potentially at theme parks, are also feasible.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in industrial engineering, material handling, conveyors, theme parks, and/or baggage handling. Flexibility is crucial, as the role encompasses both traditional, long-term projects and fast-paced, time-and-material projects within the entertainment sector. Candidates should demonstrate some experience in independently managing projects. Versatility and compatibility with various work environments, industries, and colleagues are paramount.

This is a non-managerial, non-entry-level position requiring a minimum of 5 years of solid experience in automation, particularly in PLCs and coding (Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Expectations during interviews will include demonstrations of technical capabilities.
