Overview
JOB TITLE: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
JOB LOCATION: CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS - OREM
FUNCTION: Assists the company controller by ensuring all accounting information is kept up-to-date and accurate
REPORTING TO: CONTROLLER
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Visualizes and implements the Clyde Companies Inc. (CCI) vision and core values
- Updates the accounting system through a variety of tasks including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Balancing and analyzing general ledger accounts
- Calculates taxes owed as needed
- Performs miscellaneous accounting functions as requested by Controller
- Assists in year-end audit
- Helps other accounting personnel as problems arise
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrates basic understanding of accounting-related software including:
- Viewpoint
- Excel
- Works effectively in a high pressure environment and is detail oriented
- Displays basic knowledge of accounting
- Works effectively both independently and in a team setting
- Multitasks effectively and efficiently
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field
- Previous accounting experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10 lbs;
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment;
- Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
