Credit Manager

The credit manager will increase company profitability by operating within the guidelines and requirements of the company credit policy. The credit manager will maintain an appropriate credit risk level and work with management to adjust process controls to increase cash flow.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate within the guidelines and requirements of the company credit policy
• Maintain an appropriate credit risk level
• Review customer accounts on a regular basis to maintain an appropriate level of credit risk.
• Visit customers as needed to establish strong business relationships and limit credit risk
• Effectively work with the sales force to improve credit quality and cash flow
• Manage receivable measurements to budget requirements
• Manage collection process of delinquent accounts to maintain credible receivables, including establishing relationships with collection agencies and collection attorneys
• Manage direct cash application function
• Resolve disputes with customer base and other departments as they relate to receivable and risk management
• Analyze credit applications for credit worthiness and set up new accounts in a timely manner
• Maintain appropriate documents, documentation and other information in the customer credit files
• Ensure that the delinquent reports are submitted monthly to Upper Management in a timely fashion
• Meet with Upper Management to review the credit/collection function on a regular basis or as needed
• Prepare a monthly Charge Off Schedule and communicate to all appropriate personnel
• Recommend changes to company credit policy
• Keep abreast of all laws pertaining to collection, bankruptcy, bonds, liens and judgments
• Participate in appropriate trade and credit groups to improve credit knowledge
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
