What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist position at CME Corp?
CME Corp is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to work in partnership with marketing team members. In this role you will manage our events, deploy customer NPS surveys, support our online promotional and literature storefront, assist in campaign activation, budget tracking and reporting, and support online chat/review forums as needed.
This role gives the right candidate exposure to many areas of the marketing function and the ability to work with a variety of people within the organization. The main responsibility of this role will be the support, management and implementation of our annual sales meeting and supporting our sales team for 3rd party events. This is a remote role that needs to be local to our RI office to attend occasional meetings, check shipments, etc. Most events are managed remotely, however there may be some travel required (approx. 5%).
What You’ll Do:
- Create, manage, and execute an event calendar to support our sales team.
- Track show expenses, leads and report on tradeshow ROI.
- Remotely manage all logistics for tradeshows, including booth shipment and show services.
- Plan and execute internal events such as our National Sales Meeting.
- Deployment and scheduling of our customer NPS surveys.
- Support our online storefront for literature and promotional item fulfilment.
- Support campaign activation for paid ads, social media and/or vendor marketing programs.
- Track spending and keep reporting up to date.
- Support online chat, review sites/forums and additional duties as needed.
What You Should Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or any other related field.
- 2 years of event planning experience is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the sales and marketing function as well as marketing principles, practices and techniques including marketing analysis and research tools.
- Attention to detail, negotiation, communication (verbal and written), presentation, problem solving, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Healthcare industry event experience preferred but not required.
What Would Be Great To Have:
- Experience using Magento, or similar platforms, HubSpot, Google Analytics and SalesForce CRM.
- Experience running digital events and/or webinars.
- Customer service and/or online chat experience.
