What will be your role?
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible to support the company's efforts to expand new customer relationships and maintain existing customer base within the markets that are represented. They have the strategic function of supporting the Project Sales Representatives (PSR) in developing controls sales in the given geographic area served by Piedmont Service Group (PSG). To build business, they forge special relationships with the PSR's that are assigned to them. They will establish strategic partnerships and always seek to help build the loyalty of the PSG customers towards the organization. Through the PSR the ISR is responsible for assisting with achieving sales, profitability, and New Customer recruitment objectives where feasible. They will represent the entire range of CMS Controls' offerings and services to assigned PSR's and provide the knowledge necessary to help the PSR to convey to their Customer what CMS Controls can provide. The ISR reports directly to the Business Development Manager (BDM).
What will you do?
- Develop relationships with PSR's that work in the assigned area and establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in new area accounts to support the PSR's.
- Work with assigned PSR's to help their customers understand their needs for Energy Management and Building Management Systems and look for ways to provide solutions for those needs. Work with the PSR's customers to understand their current and future needs for new controls or controls upgrades where CMS Controls can provide the solution needed.
- Work with PSR's to stay up-to-date on upcoming Capital Planning that they are working on and help support them on BAS pricing and scope related to their future planning. Help develop or modify budgets and provide the PSR customers with an end product that meets all of the goals of the project.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned area.
- Proactively works with the BDM in the business forecasting process to track leads, opportunities and critical milestones associated with the market relationships that have been built. Update the CRM to keep track of the opportunities built and assigned.
- Proactively work with the BDM to review the pricing and scopes for the projects prior to sending to the PSR's.
- Review and become very knowledgeable with the project scope provided by the PSR and conduct a site review of the existing systems where deemed necessary to provide to the PSR Customer accurate pricing and scope for the project implementation in a timely manner.
- Provide to the CMS Controls Operations Team a full understanding of project specific details through a detailed turn-over process once the project sale is finalized.
- Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the CRM. (Salesforce)
- Assist where needed with the Controls Project Sales Team for estimating and proposal writing on projects.
- Prepare estimates, proposals and technical support for a complete DDC Project Sales Cycle and/or assist the PSR in the same
Which candidate profile are we looking for?
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System inside sales/estimating experience in a business-to-business environment or operations experience accordingly
- Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, balance and prioritize multiple customers, projects and vendors at any given time as required to meet internal and external customer demands.
- Personal computer proficiency and excels in MS Office Applications.
- Efficient at reading and understanding plans and specifications including providing take-offs of controls and associated equipment utilizing an Excel or Web Based tool sets.
- Extensive experience and capability to speak "up and down" the construction cycle (owners, engineering firms, mechanical contractors, general contractors, etc.)

Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position requires some travel. The employee must hold a valid driver's license.
- This position requires the employee to work in the office as necessary to estimate and propose projects and work along with the Sales Team and Operations. Work outside of the office will be done as needed for meetings with Clients.
