What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Mgr position at CMS-ERM?
Job Description
AMR service department looking for an individual to train into a team lead position or an Assistant Management position. AMR service department services the gas industry as the ThermoFisher representative for the region installing new or upgrading remote telemetry units primarily for the transmission division of customers like TC Energy, NiSource, EQM, Mark West, etc. These units monitor the flow of gas at several points across the country and report to the companies designated SCADA department via Cellular, BGAN, and VSAT communication modems. These “RTUs” are powered either by solar or AC/DC systems depending on the location. The telecom equipment is installed at each site and verified by the companies IT and SCADA department. The RTUs receive pressure, temperature, and a pulse from a meter run. The pulse comes from either rotary, turbine, ultrasonic, or Coriolis meters. Some older setups may provide a differential pressure through a plate instead. The RTU takes this data and calculates the flow rate. The RTU also has several AI, DI, DO ports to monitor and control various processes along with communication ports to share customer data.
AMR service department also services the mining metal/non-metal industry, primarily coal mining in this region. AMR has atmospheric monitoring systems in several mines to track various gas, primarily CO and report any alarms to the surface and the working sections. AMR also has a tracking and text-based communication system that can track miners travel within the primary and secondary travel paths. Both systems are DC based, 24volts or less. AC power is used to charge the batteries the system is powered on. AMR also has components for mining power systems like electronic circuit breakers, and tone-type ground monitors. PEMCO has its own line of power center components and construct power centers for the mining industry.
AMR also services a WIFI based atmospheric monitoring system/communications/tracking system at both East River and Big Walker tunnels. The system currently has wireless access points at certain intervals in the exhaust tunnels above the travelled portion of the tunnel. In the travelled portion of the tunnel there are 12 CO monitors in each tunnel direction that communicates back to the wireless access points above. The system is currently set to expand to monitor multi-gas units in the fresh air side of the tunnel above the travelled portion of the tunnel. Each unit will monitor 4 unique gases and report to the control room.
