The Vendor Management Lead (VML) reports to the head of VMO and heads the Vendor Management capability. The VML’s primary objectives is to realize and enhance vendor deliverables of IT by optimizing the relationship between Tapestry and our strategic vendors through a federated matrixed team of Vendor Engagement Managers (VEM). This role will also partner closely with the VMO Sourcing capability manager, currently supported by an external consultant, and additionally will provide guidance to the Vendor Management Asia (VMO-VMA) counterpart.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in vendor management and or related discipline to...

  • Partner with Head of VMO to set strategic direction for the Vendor Management capability
  • Develops Vendor performance goals and incorporate into contracts
  • Research, identify and implement best-practice methodologies to extract value from strategic vendors
  • Provide educational resources for internal staff members who are charged with executing vendor management activities.
  • Establish and/or approve internal and external policies, standards and processes for vendor interaction
  • Manage the maintenance/enhancement of tools for use in vendor management, including vendor tracking, analytics and performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards)
  • Provide disposition guidance of work demand intake process

 

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 7 years of IT with at least 5 years of work experience in IT Vendor Management
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and technologies
  • Keeps up-to-date with Technology and Vendor Management trends
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated success driving innovation from vision to execution delivering tangible business results
  • Ability to inspire and partner with diverse individuals at all levels of the organization in a global, highly cross-functional and matrixed environment
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and adept working in ambiguous environments
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Global experience preferred / collaborating with remote teams such as, shared services and offshore models.
  • Review/assign BOW (Book Of Work) with VMO-VMA for Asia
  • Manage vendor relationships ensuring Strategic vendor are actively being managed by their VEM
  • Provide executive level monthly Vendor performance reports for the Stewardship Meeting
  • Track and report on vendor financials, risk, compliance and performance
  • Provide oversight to vendor audits as required
