What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Engineer position at Coactive AI?
As a Sales Engineer, you will be one of the founding members of the Solutions team and will be a key technical contributor working closely with the founders, sales, and customer success. Your primary goal is to ensure the success of prospects by scoping and delivering technical engagements (e.g. demos, workshops, POVs) that demonstrate clear business value for potential customers. You will build repeatable processes that drive the sale and adoption of Coactive’s products, while supporting the strategic and technical needs of potential new customers. You will also collaborate closely across multiple teams, serving as the technical sales expert for the Go-To-Market team while becoming an expert and champion of the Coactive platform.
What you’ll do:
- Be an expert and evangelist of the Coactive product
- Be the resident technical sales expert and mentor for Go-To-Market teams
- Lead and execute successful engagements for potential new customers, including Proof-of-Value engagements and technical workshops
- Create and deliver enterprise-grade technical materials to support sales
- Provide feedback from the field and serve as an advocate for prospects to internal teams
- Maintain clear documentation and streamlined processes to facilitate efficient collaboration
- Occasional travel to customer sites and industry conferences may be required
- Shape best practices and company culture as we grow
What we look for:
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent professional experience
- Entry level experience coding in Python (Preferred)
- 5 years working in technical pre-sales and/or post-sales, preferably enterprise B2B SaaS
- Experience in scope and delivery of technical solutions, preferably utilizing analytics and/or AI products
- Experience in creating materials and tooling to support technical sales, including demos, statement of work proposals and presentations
- Ability to effectively communicate and guide technical and executive audiences, whether in demos, sales calls or in-person visits
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and solve a customers business need through an existing product
- Ability to provide technical sales mentorship to other technical and non-technical team members, such as solutions engineers and/or account executives
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
- Previous experience in in technical sales of ML/AI products is a plus

The estimated On Target Earnings (OTE) for this position is $186,250 -$232,500.
