Coastal Health is currently searching for a motivated front desk associate to join our growing office.

Serves patients by greeting and helping them; checking patients in and out; collecting copays; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts.
Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Checks in all patients for their appointments in a timely manner.
Checks out all patients in a timely manner.
Schedules all follow-up/procedure appointments.
Verifies patients name/DOB when giving out prescriptions/lab work or imaging orders/referral copies.
Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Ensures the patient has completed Epion Pre-registration, verifies that patient demographic information is up to date, obtains and scans ID and insurance cards.
Prep Athena/Epion Homepage (verifying eligibility & benefits, patients responsibility, checking for outstanding balances and credits, verifying that an insurance office visit referral is valid and on file for any specialist office visit if applicable).
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient balances; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, and collecting.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years experience in the medical field preferred. Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus, Team driven attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and reliable transportation.
