What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Elections Coordinator I (Prep Center) position at Cobb County Government?

The purpose of this classification is to perform specialized duties to facilitate federal, state, and local elections. There are three positions available located in the Prep Center at the Cobb County Elections Office.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
May assist in the hiring and training of seasonal staff, assigning and monitoring work, coordinating their activities, resolving conflicts, and recommending disciplinary action as needed. Trains new workers on the elections process. Responds to inquiries. Assists with the coordination of election activities.Stays up to date with local, state, and federal election laws and codes. Provides customer service: answers questions regarding and election preparation. Maintains inventory of election equipment and supplies and office supplies: updates and inventories election equipment after each election; and maintains inventory of supplies needed to conduct day-to-day work activities. Plans and executes delivery of supplies and equipment; ensures all necessary signs, supplies, and equipment are provided to each polling site; ensures that Election Recap Sheets and other election evidence is audited and retained as required. Assists in preparing and distributing election supplies and equipment for polling locations.Assists in developing a delivery and collection schedule.Prepares, gathers, and stages various supplies and equipment for delivery using physical strength and tools such as a forklift; conducts loading, unloading, and return of same. Inspects returning supplies and equipment; repairs damaged machines and supplies or contacts vendor for same; and performs various pre-, post- and day-of election duties. Prepares election materials utilizes checklists to sort, count, gather, collate, inspect and verify election supplies; generates spreadsheets or reports from various information sources. Reports machine and computer problems as they occur, tests elections equipment, and troubleshoots election equipment as needed. Assists with Logic and Accuracy testing of voting equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by three years of experience in elections operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.Preferred QualificationsElections experience
