Position Summary:
The Inspector/Supervisor will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas,
disposing of trash, changing beds, vacuuming, and notifying maintenance of any issues.
The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting all rooms
You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness. This position is for
those who enjoy a high-speed environment, making it possible to finish cleaning a room
within 30 minutes, is a self-starter and excellent at managing their time effectively. This
is also a supervisory role. You will be responsible for supervising the department,
ensuring all room attendants are trained properly, maintaining inventory, maintaining
and creating the department schedule, and assisting in the interviewing processes for
the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspection of all guest rooms
Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators,
stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are
met.
Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean outdoor ashtrays, and transport other
trash and waste to disposal areas.
Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and
bathroom items.
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered
scrubbing and waxing machines.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum
cleaners and shampooers.
Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as
necessary.
Wear uniform at all times while on duty.
Inventory – monthly linen inventory, weekly inventory of supplies, stocking
supplies in all closets
Checking and signing off on clean rooms
Deep cleans – construct a proper schedule for deep cleans along with
supervising and assisting
Assigning housekeepers daily tasks
Staffing – looking ahead at occupancy to determine the number of
employees needed for the upcoming days.
Assisting the General Manager with the interview process for the
department.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to
three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of

Mathematical Ability: Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide
Perform these operations using units of American money and weight
measurement, volume and distance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: The Inspector/Supervisor will be responsible for training
and coaching new housekeepers and will be responsible for filling in for any call offs in
the department.

This job operates in a hotel environment. The role routinely uses
