About the Strategic Inventory Manager:
As the Strategic Inventory Manager, you will manage inventory control operations throughout the company. You will partner with senior leadership to create and execute on strategy, policies and procedures for all inventory and receiving processes. You will employ standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency, achieve targeted guest service levels, and minimize risk, shrink and operational expenses. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices and ensure store leadership receives regular and ongoing communication and training.
Additional Duties Include:
- Partner with senior leadership in the development of strategies that affect all aspects of inventory management including, but not limited to, forecasting, planning/purchasing, inventory movement, shrink control including repurpose programs, receiving, and vendor returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure accurate and consistent execution on all inventory management policies and procedures that align with company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Implements and maintains inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Ensure relevant inventory and service level metrics are measured, monitored, and communicated back throughout the company’s operational teams, including root cause analysis and action plans. Recommend and lead change based on measurement and analysis findings to ensure maximum opportunity for metric goals to be achieved.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentoring for store leadership teams on inventory control policies and procedures.
- Provide direct supervision to subordinate team on day-to-day performance of their job. Develop a culture that engages employees, builds team spirit and morale through recognition, accountability, coaching for talent development, and urgency.
