Logistics Process Specialist
Hybrid onsite to Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Onsite Tues & Wed)
(4-6 month contract engagement with potential to extend as well as convert to a full-time staffer)

Our company is one of the largest CPG manufacturers in the world with global brands in the food, personal care and household product categories.
Description
You’ll be processing freight and accessorial invoices in CASS (Cargo Accounts Settlement Systems) for payment to our 90 freight carriers.
You’ll be accurately and consistently applying accounting principles, in accordance with our company’s Accounting policies, external accounting standards, fiscal and statutory requirements. You translate financial accounting into financial reporting for external stakeholders.
- Assist in exception handling and correction for all carrier invoices received.
- Assist in building SOPs & documentation of all processes.
- Assist in evaluation of accessorial charges for validity and proper calculation of charges as needed.
- Assist in efficiently processing open items in the queue to ensure optimal aging.
- Assist in identification of process and system efficiencies and best practices, both in external processes but also for the CASS upgrade project scheduled to take place this year.
Minimum skill requirements
- Process mapping
- Invoice processing
- Understanding of transportation. The goal for this person to assist build our operating procedure documentation and take on some of the transactional work we have right now as our company is moving towards an automation goal by the end of the year.
