Job description
Code 1 Aviation is seeking an experienced individual for our Parts Department/Administrative Team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, Word, typing and internet searches. Experience with QMX or similar work-order/parts software is a plus. Basic knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance and/or Parts is a plus but not required. Previous Parts Department Management experience is preferred. Candidates should have independent problem-solving skills, detail oriented and enjoy working as part of a team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Process Aircraft maintenance records
· Support branch manager and other hangar employees
· Light administrative duties
· Schedule shipments along with daily shipping and receiving
· Create purchase orders based on company/customer needs
· Inside Part Sales / Counter Sales (i.e., Requisition)
· Parts sourcing and acquisition of rare, hard to find parts
· Managing inventory based on demand and cost targets
· Maintain the supply of replacement parts using a computerized system
· Inventory control
· Communicate directly with Customers and Vendors
· Handle confidential information while working with minimal supervision
