Code 4 Security is seeking a part-time security officer, with the possibility of working up to full time hours. We have an opening for those who are passionate about protection. Type: Hourly Wage Band: $13-$20/hour.
Expected Starting Wage: Anticipated at $16-17, depending on experience.
What You Will be Doing: The Security Officer at our client's site will roam and patrol the job site using environmental awareness and visual and verbal cues to protect the property and uphold the rules of the business. This includes:

Job Duties:
· Provide excellent customer service to patrons and clients, providing direction to restrooms, vendors, water fountains, emergency first aid tents, site-specific patron services, exits, etc.
· Assist patrons and/or clients with disabilities and special needs.
· Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and influence across departments within the Code 4 team by exemplifying safety, security, and integrity.
· ID checks, bag checks, and wanding procedures to check for prohibited items.
· Maintain crowd control.
· Maintain alcohol perimeters.
· Metal detector operation.
· Observe and report issues to Assistant Manager, dispatch, or management team.
· Safely direct vehicles to appropriate parking as they enter a site.
· Follow all Code 4 SOPs at job sites. Immediately communicate discrepancies to Assistant Project Manager.
· Contact proper authorities and first responders for emergency situations.
· Contact the operations management team regarding accidents, physical property damage, theft, or disturbances on site.
· Collect and account for parking payment.
· Monitor and control access at entrances/exits and vehicle gates.
· Patrol buildings and perimeters, either randomly or regularly.
· Deescalate and/or escort off the premises of intoxicated persons.
· Effectively use proper radio protocols to communicate with leads, management, and other site officials and staff.
· Observe and report any unusual activity or violations to Operations Management.
· Take direction from first responders and law enforcement any time they are on site.
Requirements
· HS Diploma/GED a plus.
· Environmental awareness must be able to predict and identify issues and situations.
· Punctual and reliable.
· Able and willing to stand, walk, run as needed.
· Must be able to withstand the elements (heat, rain, snow), for long periods of time.
· Professional attitude and appearance.
· Must know and adhere to Use of Force statutes and regulations.
· Must consistently demonstrate emotional control in all situations, both escalated and complex in nature.
