Duties:

• The Lab Assistant role is an entry-level support position within the Quality Control (QC) function. Work is primarily routine and SOP-driven; no experimental analysis or research work is performed. Typical assignments are focused on operational lab tasks such as glass wash, cleaning, instrumentation startup, inventory stocking/consumables management, and waste consolidation. In this role, you will also have an opportunity to learn how to prepare reagents, perform basic procedures and simple lab techniques.
• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations and the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry. This includes FDA regulations such as cGMP, GDP, EH&S regulations and company regulations such as the employee handbook
• Ensures all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order.
• Conduct routine and laboratory support functions, such as preparation of media, reagents and standard solutions, stocking and distributing supplies and equipment and collecting, washing and storing glassware.
• Perform general lab duties, such as maintain lab equipment (cleaning and PMs) and equipment logs.
• Maintain chemicals, reagents, and consumables inventory, manage Kanban system for inventory, order direct and indirect materials as required.
• Assist with maintaining 5S systems in lab areas

Education:

• Minimum 2 -year Associates in life sciences or chemistry or Medical Tech degree
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a nimble fast paced matrixed environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
