What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Coeur d'Alene Law Firm?
We are a growing law firm in downtown Coeur d'Alene in need of a reliable and proactive Paralegal. Ideal candidate would have 2 years' experience and be a self-starter. The Paralegal will work directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases, get involved in fact-finding projects and be responsible for developing and maintaining an index system for all case files. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of our clients' needs. Interest and experience in civil and/or criminal litigation is preferred. If you are motivated to work on a winning team, this job is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, prepare and assist with legal pleadings and filings in state and federal court.
- Communicate and coordinate case development with clients.
- Assist with trial and witness preparation
- Organize case files, pleadings and case communications for attorneys.
Required skills:
- Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent experience is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organization abilities
- Strong research and writing skills
- Experience in using legal database software and time management software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
