Our client ML Johnson specializes in reselling equipment for measurement, flow, level, pressure, and temperature control. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and fostering lasting relationships with clients. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales deals. Your focus will be on understanding clients' needs, offering reliable solutions, and providing honest assessments of our capabilities. You will embody our company values of integrity, transparency, proactivity, and client focus while continuously striving for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' challenges and requirements
- Present and demonstrate our products and services effectively, highlighting their features and benefits
- Develop tailored solutions to address clients' specific needs, ensuring alignment with our capabilities and offerings
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations, clearly articulating value propositions
- Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with clients, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales support, technical support, and management, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system (Hubspot)
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities
- Provide exceptional post-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- Located in Ohio
- Flow, Valve and Temperature Industry experience (Highly Preferred)
- Proven track record of success in outside sales
- Strong understanding of technical products and solutions preferred, particularly in measurement, flow, level, pressure, and temperature control. Continuous training is provided
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to exceed targets and deliver exceptional service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accountability and professionalism
- Proficiency in CRM software, preferably HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients and attend industry events as required
