CT - 4045 Cost Accountant
Job Posting for CT - 4045 Cost Accountant at Coghlin Companies Inc
- Frequent maintenance and review of standard cost systems and controls to assure standard cost, inventory valuation, and gross margin reporting accuracy.
- Set standards for new manufactured parts based upon bill of material.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and compare to standard costs. Update standard costs as necessary.
- Analyze changes in product design and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost.
- Periodically analyze purchase history and update raw material standards.
- Compare actual product margins to quotes and analyze variances bring summary of findings to Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller.
- Assist in month end close of the general ledger as it relates to inventory cost and inventory journal transactions.
- Reconcile inventory journal transactions and prepare inventory roll forward.
- Assist with year-end physical inventory and cycle count analysis.
- Review of inventory quantity adjustments on a monthly basis.
