Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a Business Solution Manager/ Analyst with 10 of experience in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.
An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.
This role is a liaison between the people taking decisions about a product/solution and the people developing it. A BA/PO usually perform activities, such as:
- Gather the customer needs.
- Define and order the Product Backlog.
- Plan how to realize the Backlog together with the team.
- Decide when the product increments can be released to the customers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Lead or participate in multiple meetings/ discussion to elicit requirements, managing project scope
Elicit requirements from internal external stakeholders, clearly document business, functional and systems requirements
Document project artefacts post discussions with stake holders, Business Requirement Document, Functional Requirement Document and GAP analysis.
Identify, create, and facilitate story mapping sessions in sync with user journey, track use cases and features pertaining to epics.
Solutioning epics and documenting user stories, (Functional and Technical) adhering to solution/product criteria, and from the end user perspective.
Document and produce a healthy backlog with a list of user stories, and categorize them into respective MVP's or sprints
Lead/Participate refinement session, educate stakeholders, architects, and developers, resolve their queries or concerns, and get the buy-in on the acceptance criteria.
Schedule connects with Product managers/owners to prioritize stories and estimate with relative sizing and map the stories in the subsequent sprints.
Identify Risks, dependencies if any, and notify the same to stakeholders, document risk mitigation plan
Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
Identify improvement opportunities, provide key inputs to UX team on designs from user experience perspective
Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
Lead agile ceremonies in absence of Scrum master- Daily Scrum, Sprint planning, Sprint review and retro
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a business analyst role (preferably digital engagements)
MBA or equivalent from a primier Business school, post gradution
Strong business analysis skill
Good communication skills
Excellent documentation skills
Fair amount of digital domain knowledge
Project management, Scrum Master, Exposure to delivery management topics, Experience in digital project covering (Omnichannel – web/mobile, DXP, Content solutions, Customer Experience / Employee Experience transformation)
