This role is with the Cognizant PEGA Practice within Enterprise Platform Services Team (PEGA-EPS). We partner with clients to power engagements across the PEGA ecosystem. Job Description: We are looking to hire a skilled Pega developer to design and develop enterprise-level Pega applications for our company. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment Pega projects. This may involve developing BPM applications, integrating web services, designing data models and frameworks, and collating business analysis requirements. To ensure success as a Pega developer, you should have advanced knowledge of Pega Class Hierarchy, experience with Java-based applications, and high-level project management skills. A top-level Pega developer understands the needs of the company and designs scalable applications to improve process management.
While each team member has a primary ability, they are also expected to learn and give to areas outside of their primary skills. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills, as well as consistent record of application development with skills in Java, distributed cache technology and building scalable robust systems. In return, you will have opportunity to gain exposure to designing, developing, and deploying applications to the internal/external cloud.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Adhere to the standard methodologies including but not limited to Pega and team specific Guardrails.
- Review alert logs to ensure quality standards. Run pre-flight and PAL to insure performance and quality.
- Good understanding of UX/UI and experience on working with Portals, Skins, Flow Action, Sections and all the UI components.
- Hands on Background Jobs (job schedular and queue processor) Implementation and configuration.
- Experience in Admin Studio configurations and must be able to improve the performance of application.
- Experience in Oracle and SQL Database operations
Mandatory:
Pega Certified –CSSA
Hands on experience on PEGA 8.x versions.
Authority in implementing integrations such as REST and exception handling.
Experience in OAuth authentication
Experience on creating technical rules such as Data Pages, Activities, Data transforms, Flows, Case Types, Decision rules etc. following the branching strategy.
Meeting with business managers to discuss the company’s BPM application needs.
Designing and developing Pega BPM applications.
Performing solution architecture within the Pega PRPC environment.
Designing class structures, application frameworks, and data models.
Coordinating with the project team to ensure the business architecture matches the needs of the customer.
Integrating business databases, legacy systems, and web services.
Troubleshooting application issues, coding bugs, and bottlenecks.
Conducting system performance tests.
Maintaining the security of all system applications.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
