Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Asset lifecycle management including assets receiving, tracking & deployment, and audit/stock management.
- Procurement of devices such as desktops, laptops, and mobiles procurement of software with the help of the client procurement team.
- Receive new equipment from OEMs.
- Vendor coordination for replacements, and warranty repairs.
- Provision of new end-user devices that are in scope.
- Receive devices under repair and provision loaners.
- Software image rollout with standard images before asset deployment.
- Schedule and deliver new and break-fix equipment within the office campus.
- Coordinate with OEMs for warranty repairs and device replacements.
- Assist in data backup on end-user devices and data restore.
- Receive EOL devices, wipe the devices as per Client’s established process, update the inventory list, and coordinate with Client 3rd party vendors for assets decommissioning and disposal.
- Secure asset disposal as per established policies.
- Own the operations of the end-user hardware stock room.
- Ongoing CMDB updates based on provisioning/decommissioning.
- Provision of hardware rooms with vital physical security.
- Procure hardware and Software for spares management.
- Provide demand forecast for asset refresh/provisioning/decommissioning activities.
- Provisioning of marketing event iPads and mobile devices includes functional email mailbox monitoring.
- Update printer settings per the client’s request.
- Configure general printer settings, and print queues.
- Allocate IP/DNS for network printers.
- Apply upgrades and service packs to client virtualization software and business applications and work through any technical issues that arise in the process.
- Address issues related to printers, scanners, MFP (printer status, print quality, cartridge, drivers, queue, setup), and fax (send/receive, transmission error, delivery message, FCS conversion, invalid server licensing error).
- Analyze incident requests, diagnose, and resolve next course of action to assist end users to drive resolutions should know outlook issues.
Position Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years of work experience.
- Required skills: Hardware asset management (install/address/redeploy laptops, desktops, printers, and network components), major incident management, ITSM Process Management - change, release, and data analysis and reporting.
- Nice to have skills: Requirements Management, Planning, Knowledge Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Level Management, ITSM (IT Service Management), Services Operations Management, Event Management & Scheduling, Knowledge Transition, Continual Service Improvement, Service Transition, Change Management.
- Should have good experience with SCCM & Active Directory and group policy.
- Have a solid grasp of Windows 10, and 11 Endpoint operating systems.
- Should know about DHCP, remote desktop support, network switch Cisco and Aruba, and security and permission issues.
- Experience supporting platforms on physical and virtual servers running Windows operating systems (Win10, Win7, 2008 R2, and 2012 R2, 2016).
- Experience with Windows authentication, permissions, and privilege management.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 07/12/2024.
The annual salary for this position is between $32,000 to $79,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
