Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Goodlettsville-TN (REMOTE)
Responsibilities:
- Containerized application development and deployment in GKE; GKE nuances in terms of scalability, resilience & availability.
- Understanding of various GCP services including Load balancers, Cloud Storage, Observability, Stack Driver/Operations from both development and SRE (reliability, resilience, availability, performance, observability) perspective.
- To an extent hands-on experience to work on tasks immediately and be able to ask right questions to Ops/Tools team to understand more.
- CICD Implementations preferably using Gitlab Pipelines including setting up various plugin for security, performance testing.
- Observability implementation and configuration/set up using Dynatrace and/or Grafana OSS Stack.
- Independent, dependable and worked in individual responsibility roles not just as a manager.
- Able to quickly understand and be inquisitive about logical and deployment architectural landscape.
- Analytical skills to understand tasks quickly and learn on the job.
- Understand logical/deployment architecture and probe Architects and Dev team for missing/further details.
- Independent, accountable, and dependable.
Primary responsibilities:
- Developed containerized apps using Java, SpringBoot and deployed in lower GKE environments.
- Able to quickly understand and be inquisitive about logical and deployment architectural landscape.
- Microservices Architectural Patterns, Worked in Agile and have knowledge about the processes, proficient in CICD, Cloud Implementations.
- IaaC knowledge preferably using Terraform.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 14 years of proven experience on IT
- Knowledge on SRE areas of reliability, resilience, availability, performance, observability.
- Hands-on experience solid understanding in Observability implementation using Dynatrace and/or Grafana OSS stack.
- Devops experience.
- SRE Monitor&Observability.

The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 to $187,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
