We are currently looking for a Purchasing Manager to manage the purchasing team as well as members of the warehouse team. The Purchasing Department places orders on behalf of all CU departments and works with numerous vendors to negotiate order terms, process orders, coordinator delivery to end users, and document all purchases.
This role will report to the Senior Production Manager and work from our Santa Ana, CA headquarters.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and execution of purchasing strategy and processes.
- Drive improvement in the sourcing process including escalations due to delivery or quality issues, invoicing issues, and database management.
- Cultivate existing relationships with key vendors and seek new vendors to support the growth of CU.
- Partner with cross-functional department managers across the CU organization to understand and deliver on procurement needs.
- Manage a team of purchasing coordinators and warehouse technicians.
- Own the inventory process, including management of all operations inventory both onsite and offsite.
- Monitor and resolve order problems including delays, damaged or wrong items received, pricing discrepancies, and quantity discrepancies.
Who You Are:
- 5 years in a Purchasing role, including 1 years of lead/management experience.
- Detail-oriented, flexible problem solver.
- Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Goal oriented, and focused on growth and achieving measurable positive outcomes.
- Dependable and willing to take ownership of projects and processes.
- Advanced skill level with Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm, and leadership skills.
