Junior Security Policy Analyst College Board – Risk Management This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work; candidates commutable to Reston, VA are highly preferred. About The Team The Information Security Governance Risk and Compliance (ISGRC) team at the College Board works closely with other teams across the organization to assess and certify the security of College Board’s information systems and processes. This dedicated team of ten individuals facilitates information security governance and compliance by assessing College Board’s vendors, reviewing and negotiating contractual commitments to information security, planning for disaster response and recovery, testing system strength using industry-recognized frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and SOC2), implementing information security policies, promoting security awareness and training, and testing the acumen of College Board employees through robust and innovative phishing campaigns. About The Opportunity As the Junior Security Policy Analyst, Information Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance (ISGRC), you will have the following responsibilities: Gain basic understanding of security operations, processes, and business objectives Assist in planning and executing security policy review and renewal activities. Maintain policy library in RSAM and policy library Research and map policy requirements to compliance controls Support policy enforcement initiatives Work with Policy lead to brainstorm, design, and draft: information security policy materials for internal training programs (technical and non-technical) draft gamification projects that make policy education and compliance engaging in collaboration and partnership with Security Awareness reports identifying policy issues (e.g., work completed, non-compliance issues, etc) Other duties as assigned About You You have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent program; or Associate’s degree in a similar field with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, with evidence of progressively taking on more challenging work Excellent communication (written and verbal) and effective interpersonal skills A solid drive to excellence, a strong attention to detail, an insatiable appetite for continuous improvement, and a constant need to learn, practice, and improve Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job, and self-directed trainings Desire to explore a career in Information Security or Information Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance; Desire to pursue license/certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA or CCAK, etc.) Effective project and time management skills Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a remote team environment Understanding of agile methodologies, a plus Ability to travel or commute to Reston, VA office for onboarding and quarterly meetings About Our Benefits and Compensation College Board offers a strong compensation and benefits package that attracts top talent looking to make a difference in education. The salary range for a new employee in this position working hybrid in our Reston, Virginia office is $48,500 to $72,500. The salary offer of an individual candidate within this range is specific to their location and qualifications.
