AP Web Program Manager College Board – AP&I Remote About the Team With more than 38 courses and exams across multiple subject areas, Advanced Placement is the most widely accepted college-level academic program available to high school students. The AP Web Management team is committed to ensuring critical information about the AP program is available on our web sites, collaborating with both Program subject matter expects as well as cross-divisional stakeholders such as Communications, Marketing, and Legal. About the Opportunity As the Senior Director, AP Web Management, you will lead the strategic planning, requirements definition, implementation, execution and adoption of all aspects of the AP Program’s operational content web sites including AP Central, AP Students, as key capabilities supporting AP’s annual business cycle. You will drive the overall roadmap, design and development of all associated systems and platforms, working closely with the technology development teams, and key internal and external stakeholders. As the Senior Director, you will be the main AP point of contact for web experience usability testing with AP’s various constituency groups. In this role, you will: The Senior Director, AP Web Management will serve as the AP business owner and product manager for the operational web experience, including AP Central and AP Students AP Web Operations Lead (80%) Manage team plans of known work including an editorial calendar, establishing milestones, prioritizing work within the team's backlog, removing roadblocks as needs arise Address risks and issues as it relates to web production processes or timelines Be the AP Delivery POC and intake mechanism for AP for all web work – including new experiences as well as updates to existing pages Work with AP stakeholders to prioritize the various items against one another – taking into account both critical timing, resource allocation availability Facilitate daily standups with AP Web team to continually manage backlog of work – managing all AP web work with established and evolving, efficient. Ensure prioritized work implementation meets standards of completion Operational Web Strategy (15%) Act as main AP liaison to ongoing CB web initiatives that have AP (or potential AP) intersection Continually identifying areas for efficiency improvements across the AP web properties and identifying opportunities for further cross-linking to other College Board web properties Establish KPIs, monitoring analytics, maintaining site architecture, and making key decisions on web content production processes and policies Oversee AP web usability testing (5%) Organize and conduct usability tests with key constituent groups, including students, teachers, coordinators, and school/district administrators Work with AP and non-AP SMEs to generate testing scripts to probe on both pain points and areas of excellence within AP web experiences Generate testing briefs at the product/feature level for broad visibility of test outcomes, enabling the easy prioritization of feedback into product backlogs About You Strong leadership skills with proven ability to set vision and direction, then manage others to meet aligned goals and metrics Strong client service orientation, including interpersonal and consultative skills, the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and influence, collaborate, and build consensus Digitally savvy and the ability to use and understand digital products and services while being familiar with online communication dynamics. Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to groups of 15 or more Outstanding knowledge of web content management processes, capabilities, and best practices, specifically Drupal Proven ability to build relationships and influence others to action Strong organizational, time and task management skills and the ability to move forward multiple projects in concert while meeting timelines, both independently and as a member of the team Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students Excellent PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and suite Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in an engineering or business discipline preferred 10 years of product management experience About Our Benefits and Compensation College Board offers a strong compensation and benefits package that attracts top talent looking to make a difference in education. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact. The salary range for a new employee in this position is $112,000-$170,000. The salary offer of an individual candidate within this range is specific to their location and qualifications. Each salary offer is determined carefully using internal and external benchmarking and adjusting for the candidate’s location.
