The Associate Director is the Value Stream Leader for 787 Cabin Air Control System. They lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and are accountable for executing all commitments to Boeing, including production deliveries, quality, fleet reliability and issue resolution, commercial terms and conditions, aftermarket support and total cost of ownership.
The Cabin Air Control System is the heart of the 787 environmental controls and includes several rotating turbomachinery components, heat exchangers, passive & actively controlled valves, system control modules and other highly engineered components.
With over 1,000 aircraft in active service across 60 airlines, the Associate Director will work closely with both Boeing and the airlines to be the voice of the customer and drive customer satisfaction.
This role is Hybrid in Windsor Locks, CT.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the customer relationship and ensure customer satisfaction
Resolve existing commercial and contractual misalignments with Boeing and our airline customers
Lead a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), providing accountability for the value stream’s deliverables including:
Hardware on time delivery and quality
Company Funded Engineering budget and schedule adherence
Inventory and overdue reduction targets
Collaborate with the 787 Business Manager to identify margin expansion opportunities and execute them, in support of overall program targets
Identify risks to the value stream, including technical, commercial/contractual and industrial
Develop mitigation plans for risks
Identify opportunities to the program plan and develop associated capture plans.
Communicate the program’s status, risks and opportunities at cadence reviews, and upon request, at all leadership levels of the business.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in program management, aftermarket program management or contracts administration
Experience with the major elements of Business Profit Assurance
