HybridThe Space Rockford Integrated Program Planning and Controls group is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as a Schedule Analyst. This position provides the candidate with a unique opportunity to interface and work with the Program Management Office, Engineering, and Operations. While in this role, the ideal candidate will provide guidance and analysis in the areas of Project Management, Budgeting, Scheduling, and Variance Analysis used in the execution of Space and Defense Programs. The candidate will become an integral part of the Program Management Team providing advice, consultation and analysis with regard to creation and execution of the program plan In this role, you will create and maintain the program Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and will interact with Control Account Managers (CAMs)/Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to develop intermediate schedules and incorporate them into the IMS.
This role will be performed Hybrid at our Collins Aerospace location in Windsor Locks, CT.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the program Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Interact with Control Account Managers (CAMs)/Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to develop intermediate schedules and incorporate them into the IMS.
- Participate in the development of proposals including the creation of interim schedules and providing advice for the creation of Basis of Estimate documents.
- Incorporate regular status and ETC updates in the IMS based on inputs from CAMs.
- Conduct thorough critical path and driving path analysis of the IMS.
- Provide regular performance and ETC reports to program EV Analysts.
- Assist, as needed, the Program Earned Value Analyst with regularly scheduled and unscheduled tasks.
- Provide required and requested schedule-related reports to Program Management including highlights of schedule-related issues affecting program execution and recommendations for mitigation.
- Support Program Reviews
- Support on-going compliance reviews and/or periodic process audits (e.g. DCAA, DCMA and Joint Surveillance Process)
- Ensure the proper implementation of EVMS through the use of standardized processes, tools, and reports
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience working with business analytics, finance, and/or forecasting
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and the 32 Criteria of the ANSI standard.
- A thorough understanding of baseline controls and baseline changes
- Strong knowledge of the IPMR, especially as it applies to scheduling
- Strong familiarity with MS Office Products such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Focused on results with the ability to drive tasks to completion
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills – energetic, dedicated, and dynamic thinker Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively and coordinate amongst a diverse team of individuals. This includes the ability to understand communication from team members and produce coherent schedule task names
- Strict attention to detail and relentless internal and external customer satisfaction focus is required to ensure the team meets the aggressive demands of military compliance programs
- The ideal candidate will be an independent worker requiring minimal oversight, have excellent attention to detail and the creativity to provide innovative solutions to complex issues
