OnsiteThis position is for a seasoned professional in Program Management, who works independently, leads small/medium programs and teams, manages the customer interface and relationship, analyzes data, leads risk and opportunity management, manages program & product scope changes, recommends resolutions for program problems, manages vendors, maintains progress reports, communicates status and plans to all levels of stakeholders, and participates in contract negotiation.
This role is onsite in Everett, WA. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight leading small/medium projects and programs by developing program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor program data to ensure adherence to contract scope of work, cost, schedule, and technical specifications.
- Manages Program Changes for cost and schedule impacts.
- Leads Program Management content for business development activity within his/her statement of work.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project/program to internal executive leadership and customers.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Proactively identifies and addresses risks and opportunities, and develops solutions to problems which require critical thinking, creativity, and innovation to ensure the successful completion of projects/programs.
- Identifies and capitalizes on program opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and program financials.
- Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the project/program objectives.
- Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
- Manages vendors, when necessary, to support the program.
- Directs all program phases from inception through completion.
- Interfaces with customers on project specifications and requirements to ensure successful project scope and delivery and confirmation of targets.
- Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
- Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- Project or Program Management experience (cost, quality, and schedule) leading cross functional teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Proficiency in MS Office product suite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project or Program Management experience in Aerospace industry.
- Previous experience working with engineering, quality, supply chain and operations/manufacturing organizations to deliver certified hardware and software.
- Experience using Integrated Project Scheduling software.
- Experience communicating to executive level stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work with a globally distributed team

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.
